THE TRAILS WE'VE BLAZED

The names are descriptive and fun and necessary to memorize if you want to become a legend

Most people think of Caumsett for bike riding around the main loop from the parking lot to the mansion and then back. What they don’t realize, is that there exists a pretty extensive network of bike trails throughout the property. These trails go down to the fishing dock, can be extended across the beach to the old yacht basin and then around the pond to the mansion. The ride includes a great climb up the hill to the mansion which is shown in the video below. There are also some great exercise options for pullups, chest ups, and push ups – all done on exercise equipment developed with 1970’s technology.

The trails have been created and maintained by a number of people over the years, including Jeff who leads most of the rides with the group.
